NORWICH – At Plaza Lanes Monday, Norwich was swept 5-0 by Susquehanna Valley in the opening match of the winter season.
Darrel Humphrey set the pace for the Tornado rolling a 657 series, and Kevin Rooney turned in a 635 from the anchor position.
Sus Valley won three closely contested games, all of which where in doubt entering the final frame. Sabers eighth-grader, Mike Martin, tossed a 300 game in the second of three games to lead his squad
Norwich’s junior varsity prevailed 4-1 behind Matt Gladstone’s 573 series.

Emily Hutchinson had nine aces, nine kills, one block, and two digs in an all-around performance for the Storm. Sumi Gysin added eight aces and six assists, and Alaina Emerson had a team-best seven assists.
