Take a musical journey with Jim Gaudet and the Railroad Boys
OXFORD – Tonight at 7:30, 6 On The Square (6OTS) welcomes back Jim Gaudet and the Railroad Boys for an evening of traditional “Americana Roots Music.” Prepare to venture ‘on the rails’ for memorable, hard driving, original compositions, featuring soaring three-part harmony and stellar musicianship in an unpretentious blend of traditional mountain music!
After some twenty years in the music business Jim Gaudet, singer-songwriter, took a hiatus from the music business, but now he’s back on track, better than ever. Gaudet assembled a strong cast of characters in the Railroad Boys.
The band will be coming in as a trio for this performance. Individually the Railroad Boys are Jim Gaudet on guitar and vocals, Bob Ristau on bass and harmony vocals, and Tim Wechgalaer on violin and harmony vocals. Hooked up, they create a driving locomotive with a country, finger-pickin’ bluegrass sound with a little honky-tonk thrown in for good measure! A couple of their selections are even chuggin’ train songs. So, get on-board for what will surely be a good time with great music (and some of Gaudet’s sharp wit to make you laugh); it’ll be a promising journey! Purchase tickets on-line at the discounted price of $12 until the day of the show; $15 at the door. Ticket price for Students is always $2; call to make a student reservation. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.
