“Mount Markham is a tough place to play, and we’ve had some good games with them over the years,” said S-E coach Kevin Vibbard. “To get a league win there in our first league game was good for us. We came out and played well right away.”
Randy Briggs had seven points in the opening quarter for S-E, who led 18-7 at the outset. Cole Hodges came off the bench late in the first quarter, and wound up with a season-best 13 points.
