The new Blue Lamp glows as multi-purpose space
OXFORD – There’s a new venue in town, but its use can’t be defined as one thing, since it’s for many. Kimberly S. Begeal describes her new place as a multi-purpose space. The Blue Lamp is shining with its beautiful, earthy décor designed by the artist, Kim. A welcoming forest of trees seem to be growing inside, as branches reach out toward the ceiling decorated with tiny white lights. Ethereal fairy wings are seen here and there and you’d almost expect to see an elf poke his head out from behind a wall.
What goes on at The Blue Lamp? The space can be reserved for birthday celebrations; art lessons; yoga classes; or even a catered dinner! The location of The Blue Lamp, conveniently situated on LaFayette Park between 6 On The Square (6OTS) and Hoppie’s made it perfect for a recent “Dinner Before a Show” held on Dec. 18.
