Police asking for tips in city hit and run
NORWICH – The Norwich City Police Department is requesting the public’s assistance in trying to identify a hit and run driver who was involved in an accident Monday.
Police said a man in a Dodge Dakota pick-up truck, with a push guard mounted in the front of it, collided with another vehicle at about 7:45 p.m. Monday at the intersection of East Main and Silver streets.
Police said the pick-up struck the side of the victim’s vehicle in a T-bone crash and then drove away. Police also said the victim attempted to follow the fleeing truck, but was forced to stop as it sped away at dangerous speeds.
