Norwich Pharmaceuticals hires new president
NORWICH – Norwich Pharmaceuticals announced last week that Terence (Terry) S. Novak has joined their organization in the position of President - Commercial Operations. Novak will report directly to Douglas Drysdale, CEO, and will be charged with continuing to build the contract manufacturing customer base for the company.
Novak comes to Norwich Pharmaceuticals with extensive industry experience, first joining Bristol-Myers Squibb in 1979 and growing his career from the position of sales representative to Senior Director of Corporate Accounts over the next 15 years. Leaving BMS for Vice President’s roles at a number of smaller pharmaceutical companies, Novak joined DSM Pharmaceuticals in 2001 and became President in 2007. Most recently, Novak held the position of President and Chief Commercial Officer for Patheon, a publicly traded global provider of pharmaceutical contract and development services.
“Considering his direct contract pharmaceutical industry experiences and his career focus on developing commercial business opportunities, Norwich Pharmaceuticals is anticipating Novak’s contribution to building their business will be significant,” according to a statement released by the company.
