Time to end the confusion, Patrollers! The DVD Patrol has been out braving the weather from 50 degree temps to braving wind and snow for your movie choices. New on DVD
Due Date - It’s always hard finding a ride to where you have to go. Peter (Robert Downey Jr.) was always your average every day workaholic but he made time for his family. He didn’t want to be traveling with his wife Sarah (Michelle Monaghan) expecting a baby any minute but he really didn’t have a lot of choice. He receives a call that his wife has gone into labor but can’t find a ride to get there. Enter Ethan (Zach Gailfianakis). He’s not a guy you would normally want to have on a road trip but sometimes beggars can’t be choosers. Peter decides to except Ethan’s invitation for a ride but things go from crazy to worse real quick. What will happen to Peter and Ethan next and will Peter be able to make the birth in time? Galifianakis returns with “The Hangover 2” in May and Downey is getting to shoot “The Avengers” hitting theaters next Summer.
Megamind - How someone turns out as an adult all depends on how you were raised. Cartoon Spotight has a new one featuring Megamind (Will Farrell). Megamind was sent here in a rocket as his home planet was being destroyed. So was the young man who would become Metro Man (Brad Pitt). The little boy was found by a nice rich couple and Megamind landed in a prison yard surrounded by criminals. They both grew up differently and grew up to become enemies. Megamind would come up with plan after plan to only be defeated by Metro Man. Megamind thinks of a another one to kidnap pretty reporter Roxanne (Tina Fey) and our bad guy’s plan actually works. Megamind realizes that without a hero, being a villain doesn’t work. So he brings someone in who seems good but they turn out to even more evil than Megamind himself. Now he has to become something he never wanted to be- a hero. Will Megamind be able to cut it? Another movie long the same lines is “Mars Needs Moms” being released on March 11 in theaters.

All Star Superman - Everyone thinks that their favorite heroes will never fall. This time that might not be true. Lex Luthor (Anthony Lapalagia) may have finally found a way to kill Superman (James Denton) once and for all. During a mission to the Sun, a space shuttle is attacked and Superman goes to the rescue. He rescues the crew but he is exposed to an overdose of solar radiation of such magnitude that Superman is left dying. Now faced with his possible end, Superman makes plans to settle his affairs. He even has to tell Lois Lane (Christina Hendricks) what is happening. Luthor isn’t done yet either. Will the Man of Steel be able to stop his greatest enemy or will this be his final battle? Other great DVDs coming from the makers of this one are “Green Lantern: Emerald Knights” and “Batman: Year One set for release later this year and will be featured in a future patrol.
Game of Death - Action Spotlight has an all new one from Wesley Snipes. Marcus Jones (Snipes) was never really someone you wanted to cross. He always went in to do the job without any trouble or any regrets. Now someone has hired him to do a job and he goes to take care of business. While the job is going on, someone else completes it first and now Marcus has been framed for it. Now he has to find out who did it while on the run from the CIA and weapons dealers. Can he stay alive long enough to find out? Some personal favorites of the Toddster’s from Snipes that can be found on DVD include “The Art of War,” “The Blade Trilogy,” and “Drop Zone.”
Pure Country 2: The Gift - A lot of things come along in life and you can’t believe your luck. Bobbie (Katrina Elam) wanted to be a country music star and is signed to get her dream. Everything has a price and Bobbie might have gotten it too quickly as the choices she makes backfire and may cost her career as well as her singing voice. Can she find a way to save both of them? George Strait returns with the makers of the original film for this straight to DVD sequel. Also, catch George Strait in “Pure Country” now out on DVD and a personal recommendation from the Toddster himself.
That’s all we’ve got for this round. Before we go, we just wanted to say that some more reviews are on the way with a teamup just around the corner. They always creep up so quick. Until next time, the Toddster will be back.
