Plymouth man arrested for burglary
NORWICH – New York State Police arrested Robert E. Straight, 33, Plymouth on third degree burglary charges Thursday. The arrest was made following an investigation into an electronic sensor alarm at the Kwik Fill gas station located at 6135 State Route 12 in the Town of Norwich. The investigation was completed by members of the New York State Police and members of the City of Norwich Police Department. The defendant was arraigned in the Town of Guilford Court and remanded to the Chenango County Jail in lieu of $50,000 cash bail.
Straight was currently on court-approved furlough after pleading guilty to another convenience store burglary, also in the Town of Norwich. The court had allowed him to be released so he could get his affairs in order before serving state prison time.
