Police charge man in Bainbridge armed robbery

BAINBRIDGE – The Chenango County Sheriff’s Office arrested one of two men allegedly responsible for holding up the Bainbridge Great American at gunpoint in November.

Anthony R. Botte Jr., 23, of Harpursville, was arrested in connection with the robbery and charged whim with second degree robbery, a class C felony, second degree criminal use of a firearm, a class C felony, fourth degree conspiracy, a class E felony, and fourth degree criminal possession of a weapon, a class A misdemeanor.

Police say an armed Botte entered the Great American in Bainbridge on Nov. 28 and stole an undisclosed amount of cash.
