Norwich man arrested for allegedly possessing child porn
NORWICH – New York State Police in Norwich arrested Patrick G. Woodard, 46, Norwich on Monday for the Class “E” felony of possessing a sexual performance of a child. The arrest was made as a result of an investigation initiated by members of the New York State Police Computer Crimes Unit in Albany into the possession and dissemination of child pornography. As a result of the investigation, a search warrant was executed by members of the New York State Police and the City of Norwich Police Department and Woodard was arrested.
Woodard was arraigned in the City of Norwich Court and remanded to the Chenango County Jail in lieu of $50,000 cash bail. The investigation is continuing and further charges are pending.
