Plans are cooking for the Relay For Life benefit dinner in Oxford

OXFORD – St. Paul’s Episcopal Church Outreach Committee met recently to start ‘spinning dishes’ for their benefit dinner plans, for the American Cancer Society Relay For Life. This year’s theme is circus, “the Greatest Cause on Earth!” Mark your calendars as the date for the benefit dinner has been set. It will be, Saturday, May 14, from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m under the intimate “big top” of St. Paul’s Episcopal Parish House, at 32 Main St., in Oxford.

The Relay For Life ‘spectacular’ dinner menu will put the spotlight on superb chicken & biscuits, phenomenal garlic mashed potatoes accompanied by a lively lemon buttered broccoli. The versatile and charming Bonnie Emerson will create her famous salad, and for dessert (the drumroll please…), a dazzling brownie ice cream sundae! (Brownies donated by Diane Troxell of Gallery 3-2-1 and ice cream donated by Hoppie’s).
