ELMIRA – On April 4, three historians from Chenango County were recognized by the Association of Public Historians of New York State (APHNYS) at their annual three day conference held in Elmira. Attending were Chenango County Historian Pat Evans, New Berlin/Columbus registered historian Barb Avery, Henry Drexler past Chenango County deputy historian, Tom Gray, Guilford Town Historian and wife his Wilma.

The 2011 conference, held at the Holiday Inn Riverside, was attended by County and Township historians from all over New York State and hosted by APHNYS Region 10-The Southern Tier.
