OTEGO – Greene extended its unbeaten record to 8-0 blasting Unatego on Monday afternoon.
Brittany Youngs went 5-for-5 with three RBI. Rebecca Hanrahan had four hits and an RBI, and Jahna Driscoll added a two-run single. The Trojans finished with a season-high 22 hits, and Hanrahan posted a season-high 18 strikeouts against just one walk. “It was definitely a different atmosphere compared to last weekend,” said Greene coach Rick Smith. “It was something we had to adjust to, and we were looking at too many pitches early in the game. We concentrated on being aggressive and attacking the ball. We were able to hit some nice line drives.”
Greene (5-0, 8-0) hosts Bainbridge-Guilford Wednesday.

NEW BERLIN – Harpursville plated the go-ahead run in the top of the seventh to edge Unadilla Valley on Monday.
Courtney Hardy reached on an error, and after a stolen base and a walk, scored on Irisia Kelly’s infield groundout.
UV rallied in the bottom of the sixth scoring five runs to tie the game. Morgan Sohne had a bunt single, Charlee Weidman added a two-run single, and Brittany Fairchild tied the game with a single.
Jordan Anderson had a perfect 4-for-4 day with two runs to lead UV, and Fairchild was 3-for-4. “We pounded the ball tonight, and we’re getting there,” said UV coach Eileen Lawyer. “We stayed in the game and came back.”
UV hosts Walton today.

Cori Bergeron had one of her strongest games of the season for S-E. The Marauders hurler struck out 10 and gave up just six hits.

BAINBRIDGE – B-G’s Amanda Williams went 3-for-4 with a double and a triple, and Becky Ives hit a bases-clearing triple in the fifth to cap a four-run uprising to lead the Bobcats past Oxford Monday.
Ives pitched four innings of relief for B-G to pick up the victory.
Oxford, for its part, loaded the bases three times, but came away with just single runs in the first and fourth. The Blackhawks host Harpursville today.

Winning pitcher Jen Mason went 2-for-3 with two runs scored. She also had seven strikeouts in six innings. Katie Bakhuizen added a triple for the Raiders and scored three runs.
“We hit the ball pretty well and we took advantage of everything they gave us on the basepaths,” said G-MU coach Tina Cole.

The Tornado swept all four singles matches without losing a set. The first doubles team of Sal Cole and Roman Cwynar were especially impressive winning their match without giving up a game. “This was a good opportunity for us to get ready for Owego,” said Norwich coach John Stewart. “Today we wanted to incorporate some of the style of play that we’ll need to beat Owego.”
Norwich hosts the Indians on Wednesday.
