Oxford Academy holds budget information session tomorrow

OXFORD – Residents of the Oxford Academy and Central School district can learn more about the school’s proposed 2011-12 budget at the district’s annual budget information meeting at 6 p.m. Thursday in the Primary School Multipurpose Room.
The meeting will give community members the opportunity to ask questions about the tentative spending plan.
The proposed budget totals $16,935,666, which represents a $87,354, or .51 percent, decrease in spending over the current year's budget. For taxpayers, it will mean a 1.99 percent tax levy increase.
Residents will decide on the budget in the budget vote and school board election on May 17. Polls will be open from 1 to 9 p.m. in the High School Media Center.
For more information on the proposed 2011-12 budget or the vote, visit www.oxac.org or contact the district office at 843-2025, ext. 4046.
