New program director at Big Brothers Big Sisters of Chenango County

NORWICH – Mark Parsons has been announced as the new program director for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Chenango County.

While Parsons – a Norwich High School graduate – has a bachelor’s degree in economics from Binghamton University, it’s working with the area’s youth population that truly inspires him. According to the former substitute teacher and soccer coach, connecting with those children during that time was instrumental in solidifying his current direction in life.

Karen Sastri, president of the Board of Directors at The Place, said Parsons had recently volunteered for the annual Bowl For Kids Sake, held March 26. Soon afterward, she added, he was offered the position of program director.
