Norwich's Craig notches Class B singles title

Norwich had four varsity tennis players earn spots in the Section IV state qualifier Monday after placing among the top three in the Class B tournament at Owego. From the left are Zan and Colin Stewart, second overall in doubles; Eli Craig, first place in boys’ singles; and Matt Craig, third place in singles. Before Monday’s finals matches, the Tornado had already clinched the Class B team tennis title. Additionally, it is believed that Eli Craig is the first Norwich male to win an individual sectional tennis title. He beat Johnson City’s Colin Cory, 6-4, 6-4.
