Norwich cruises past UV, 12-2

NORWICH – Norwich took the lead in the first inning scoring four times to offset UV’s two-run frame, and pitcher Cameron Prime settled down the rest of the way finishing with six scoreless innings in Tuesday’s Otsenango Pony League victory.
Cody Barnes, Greg Todd, and Robbie Wheeler all had two hits apiece for Norwich. Barnes drove in three runs, while Prime drew three walks scoring twice and driving in two more runs. Todd, Wheeler, and Chris Trevisani also had two runs scored.
In going the distance, Prime allowed six hits striking out 11.
Austin Lewis and Ryan Postma scored runs in the first inning for UV.

Bainbridge Braves 9, Unatego 8
BAINBRIDGE – Kyle Hanvey hit a walkoff RBI single in the bottom of the seventh to score Mark Cordner lifting Bainbridge to victory over Unatego in Otsenango Pony League play.
Cordner pitched the seventh inning for his second win of the season. Hanvey logged six innings on the mound striking out seven and allowing three hits. Matt Olin and Joe Shearer had two RBI apiece to lead the Bainbridge hitters.
