Hospital purchases CDI
NORWICH – UHS Chenango Memorial Hospital recently purchased Central Diagnostic Imaging (CDI) from Dr. Larry Rosenblum, upon Dr. Rosenblum’s retirement.
This site at 6 Newton Ave. in Norwich, now called UHS Imaging - Norwich, will become the hospital’s outpatient medical imaging site. The MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) area already has been renovated and is open for MRI studies. Within the next six weeks, after further renovations are completed, the rest of the services to be offered at that site will include ultrasound, bone densitometry, digital mammography, and x-ray.
Chris Kisacky, Vice President Operations, stated: “While we renovate the facility, patients for all services except MRI will register and have their imaging studies at the hospital. Eventually, outpatients will receive most of their diagnostic services at the new site, which offers the convenience of on-site parking. Future plans include opening a breast center at the Newton Avenue site as well. ”
She emphasized the advantages of the Newton Avenue office: “The new site, located next to UHS Primary Care and the Walk-In Center in Norwich, will provide a very accessible, patient-friendly environment, and our aim is to make each experience at this new site as convenient and comfortable as possible.”
She added that former CDI patients will be pleased to know that they can expect to see many of the same staff they have come to know over the years. For more information or to schedule an appointment for all services except MRI, call 337-4149. To schedule an MRI call 337-4999.
