NORWICH – The City of Norwich Police Department is seeking information regarding an hit and run which occurred at approximately 1 p.m. on July 6 on South Broad Street.
According to police, a blue Jeep Liberty ran the stop sign located at the intersection of Front and South Broad before striking a tan, 4-door car traveling south on South Broad. The Jeep then fled the scene of the accident – traveling west on Eaton Avenue – ran a second stop sign at the intersection of Eaton and Elm and continued south on Elm Street.

It is unknown at this time whether the driver of the vehicle – which has tinted windows – is male or female, reported Burdick.
Police are asking that anyone with information regarding the hit-and-run contact the city PD at 334-1212 or the department’s TIPS line at 336-8477. All calls will be kept confidential. Photos of the vehicle can be found on the Norwich PD Facebook page at www.facebook.com/norwichpolice.
