First golf tournament for Six on the Square a success

OXFORD – The first “6 On The Square Golf Outing” was very successful. Five foursomes had a great day of fun on July 24, for a good cause, at the beautiful “hidden jewel of golf”, the Blue Stone Golf Course. Proceeds will foster 6 On The Square’s (6OTS’) volunteer-based 501(c) 3 service, which is committed to offering cultural and educational programs in our community.
Event chair, John Knapp said, “The Inaugural Golf Outing was a big hit!! We had terrific weather, plenty of fabulous prizes, tasty desserts, and delicious steaks to top it off. The golfers all had a great time.” Looking ahead he added, “I believe we can grow this into an even bigger and better event in the future.”
First place, with a low score of 63 was the “Home Team” of Mike Ferrarese, Melissa Stagnaro, Corey Endress and Chad Bradley. After the game, during the steak dinner, Mike, Melissa, Corey and Chad received beautiful handcrafted wooden trophies custom made by John Knapp of Knapp Knoll Woodworks.
Last place, with a high score of 82, was the “NBT Team” of Tesha Townsend, Dan Tefft, Pete Williams and Tim Guinn.
