AmeriCorps, The Place to present Clean Energy Fair
NORWICH – The Clean Energy Service Corps, an AmeriCorps program supported by The Place, 22 East Main St., will hold a Clean Energy Fair from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday in East Park. Held in conjunction with Saturday’s Farmers Market, the fair will feature free food from Garf’s Deli and the Park Place Restaurant and Lounge, as well as free samples of Agro-Farma’s Chobani Greek-style Yogurt.
“We’re going to be teaching people about renewable energy and how it’s good for the environment, and good for the economy as well,” said Bobby Potter, a member of the Clean Energy Service Corps. “We’ll have seven booths, focusing on topics such as geothermal energy, the benefits of solar energy and more.”
