Flood-disaster relief for farms offered at meeting tomorrow

MOUNT UPTON – Farmers who have experienced flood-related losses to their farm businesses or homes are encouraged to attend an agricultural disaster information meeting at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Mt. Upton Fire Department.

Representatives from multiple agencies and agricultural service providers will present an overview of assistance programs, resources, and will be available to answer questions.

The Chenango Farm Bureau and Cornell Cooperative Extension Chenango County host the meeting. Among those agencies present will be the Central New York Dairy and Field & Crops Team, Farm Service Agency, Chenango County Soil & Water Conservation District, the New York Center for Agriculture Medicine & Health, and Crop Growers, LLC.
