Milford Academy avenges loss to Army

NORWICH – At Norwich High School Saturday, Milford Academy erased a 17-0 first-quarter deficit to defeat Army Prep, 40-24.
The win improved Milford Academy’s record to 6-0 on the season, and avenged a one-point loss to Army last season, the Falcons’ only blemish in 12 contests.
Quarterback Eric Berzinkas came into the game in the second half for Milford, and threw a pair of TD passes, the second an 82-yard score to Donte Dotson that moved the Falcons in front for good, 28-24. Dotson had three catches for 116 yards, and Berzinskas connected on 7 of 9 pass attempts for 223 yards.
Montrell Dobbs led the running game with 119 yards on 20 carries and three scores. Darryl Flemister added 77 yards rushing on 14 attempts.
Winners of 17 out of their last 18 games, the Falcons play at Stevenson University this weekend in Baltimore.
