BAINBRIDGE – B-G’s Adam Bauerle tucked in the winning goal with two minutes remaining to give the Bobcats the victory over Oxford Friday.
Bauerle was on the spot after a missed shot rebounded from the top of the crossbar to his waiting feet. “It was well played and evenly matched between two old rivals,” said Oxford coach Jim Champlin. “There was a lot of sportsmanship and respect between the two teams, but no lack of energy and passion. It was an exciting game to watch.”
Brooks Harmon scored early in the second half to put B-G (5-6) in the lead. Jake McConnell tied the game for Oxford following a deflected shot by teammate Chris Marks.

SHERBURNE – Sherburne-Earlville responded to an unfortunate bounce in the first half with its own stroke of good fortune in the second half.
S-E’s Bryan Palmer took a pass from Cody Hill, and his shot deflected off a Canastota player into the net for the game-winner.
Canastota knotted the game in the first half in similar fashion when Jared Gibson-Faber’s shot richocheted off an S-E defender. The Marauders (7-3-1) took the early lead on a Trevor Bays goal.

GREENE – Greene salvaged a third-place finish in its own tournament blowing out Whitney Point in the consolation game Saturday afternoon.
Luke Day and Corey Dietrich had two goals apiece for the Trojans, who led 3-0 at halftime over the Golden Eagles. Kurt Bartholomew and Alex Driscoll added tallies in the win. Alex Leone had a career-best four assists.
Friday, Windsor, despite being outshot 16-4, made good on the game’s only goal to advance to the final. Noah Jones knocked in a direct kick with 58 seconds left in the first half to give the Black Knights the edge.
Lansing beat Windsor in the final, 5-0.

AFTON – Ben Conklin scored two goals for Walton, his second with 11 minutes left in the second half that allowed the Warriors to slip past the Crimson Knights Friday.
Josh Davy netted Afton’s goal off a crossing pass from Luis Fierro in the 15th minute putting his team on top. Less than five minutes later, Conklin tied the game.
“We played with just 12 guys, so we were a little undermanned,” said Afton coach Todd Dancesia. “I think we ran out of gas at the end.”

NEW BERLIN – Unadilla Valley put together its best offensive half of the season scoring five times in the first 40 minutes to rout Delhi Saturday.
Sabrina Tapia was credited with UV’s fourth goal of the half, and she added one more tally in the second half to lead the Storm’s offense. Megan Barnes, Sumi Gysin, Jennifer Elliott, Taylor Davis, and Mikayla Fowler also scored. “We did a lot of give-and-goes and had a lot of support,” said UV coach Janelle Ross. “It was the best I’ve seen our team play this year.
UV (5-3-2) is at Bainbridge-Guilford Tuesday.

WALTON – Twice-beaten Greene kept pace in the MAC division chase dealing division co-leader Walton a setback Thursday afternoon.
Trojans sophomore, Paige Wilcox scored the game’s only goal 21 minutes into the second half. Wilcox picked up a rebound off a shot by teammate Nicole Tumminia and put it away from close range.
Greene allowed only two shots on goal in the game and held an 8-2 advantage overall.

HARPURSVILLE – At Belden Hill Golf Club, Norwich lost for just the third time this season falling to Windsor Friday afternoon.
In a matchup that included two of last year’s Section IV state tournament team, Windsor’s Chris Stricek won medalist honors over the Tornado’s Eric Walling. Stricek shot an even-par 36, while Walling was one back at 37 to pace NHS. Ryan Hagen added a 40 for Norwich (9-3), who host Susquehanna Valley Tuesay.
