Roof valve to blame for ammonia exposure at Agro Farma

SOUTH EDMESTON – A newly-installed roof valve is being blamed for a case of ammonia exposure at Agro Farma’s production facility, 669 County Road 25, yesterday morning.

According to Kelly LaCorte, communications coordinator for the maker of the popular Chobani Greek-style yogurt, a third-party contractor was taken by ambulance to the Bassett Medical Center for evaluation and is currently in stable condition.

Said LaCorte, “Our thoughts are with him and his family, and we wish him a full and fast recovery.”
