New Berlin police charge two with felonies
NEW BERLIN – A pair of individuals have been charged with multiple felonies in New Berlin and South New Berlin following investigations by the Town of New Berlin Police Department.
Allen J. Bundy, 26, of New Berlin, was charged Friday with two counts of third degree rape, a class E felony, two counts of third degree criminal sexual act, a class E felony, and three counts of endangering the welfare of a child, a class A misdemeanor. According to a New Berlin Police press release, Bundy was arrested following a week-long investigation. He was arraigned in the Town of New Berlin Court and remanded to the Chenango County Correctional Facility in lieu of $1,000 cash bail or $5,000 bond.
In a separate incident, Bryan J. Petry, 29, of South New Berlin, was charged with three counts of fourth degree grand larceny and two counts of fourth degree criminal possession of stolen property, both class E felonies, following an investigation into the theft of credit cards and a health benefits card. He was arraigned in the Town of New Berlin Court and remanded to the Chenango County Correctional Facility in lieu of $1,000 cash bail or $5,000 bond.
