NBT makes donation to PAL Center

NORWICH – NBT recently donated $1,000 to the Parents as Leaders Family Resource Center in Norwich.
Regional Manager Tom Sutton presented Sharon Chesna, executive director of Mother and Babies Perinatal Network, with the donation last week.
“We are proud to support this valuable community program that strives to improve the quality of life in our local community by strengthening families and providing needed services to children and their parents,” said Sutton.
The PAL Center, located at 27 West Main St., is operated by the Mothers and Babies Perinatal Network. PAL serves as a drop-in center for parents with infants and toddlers and promotes empowering families while reducing child abuse and neglect.
“Families come to the PAL Center primarily for children’s activities and socialization. We provide opportunities for parent education and optimal child health and development through recreational and cognitive development programs, socialization with other families and connection to community services,” said Chesna.
NBT Bank provides personal banking, asset management and business services. The independent community bank, based in Norwich, has 93 offices in upstate New York, Vermont and Massachussetts.
