Milford Academy completes unbeaten season

NEW YORK CITY – Milford Academy finished off its first undefeated in head coach Bill Chaplick’s tenure blanking Globe Institute of Technology, 56-0 this past Sunday.
Montrell Dobbs, a University of Connecticut commit, had 169 yards rushing and two touchdowns for the 11-0 Falcons. Dobbs finished the season with 1,366 yards and 20 touchdowns. He was 88 yards shy of the single-season school mark set by Fred Russell, a University of Iowa graduate and NFL signee by the St. Louis Rams.
Bobby Kinnebrew tied the all-time single-season sack record of 13 1/2 matching the record of Antonio Dixon, now a defensive tackle with the Philadelphia Eagles.
Erich Berzinskas finished 7-for-10 passing with 127 yards and three TDs, and receiver Levern Jacobs had four catches for two touchdowns.
Leading the defense were Shaquille Howard and John Galloway, who each had one interception.
The Falcons have won 22 of their last 23 games, and sport a mark of 108-31 (.780 win percentage) during Chaplick’s 12-year coaching tenure.
