State Police nab Bainbridge man with heroin, drug paraphernalia

SIDNEY – New York State Police on Tuesday seized heroin, Fentanyl and drug paraphernalia following a routine traffic stop in the Town of Afton, and a Bainbridge man was charged with third degree criminal possession of a controlled substance following his arrest.
John T. Winn, 25, of 48 W. Main St., Bainbridge, is alleged to have been in possession of 119 packets of heroin, 21 Fentanyl-transdermal patches and other drug paraphernalia – discovered during a search of his vehicle – after he was stopped on Afton Lake Road for failing to signal a turn, according to a State Police press release.
Winn was arraigned in the Town of Afton Court and remanded to the Chenango County Correctional Facility in lieu of $50,000 cash bail. The investigation is continuing and additional charges are pending, according to State Police.
