S-E Drama Club presents “Timing is Everything”
SHERBURNE – The S-E Drama Club has been working hard on its upcoming production and it’s been a long and strange journey! The play was set for its usual date at the beginning of November, but because of renovations in and around the auditorium the show had to be pushed back. They are now ready to present what was their fall production, aptly named Timing is Everything: an Evening of One Act Plays on Dec. 17 and 18. The show features 11 short, one-act plays with students directing four of them, plus four comedy sketches.
The student directors; Zoe Enscoe, Brent Guiles, Doug Parks and Lucy Taylor, were responsible for choosing their one-act play, they decided how auditions should take place, ran the auditions, and then were part of the casting decision process. They are also responsible for making decisions on lighting, sound cues, costumes, props and set.
The evening includes both comedic and dramatic plays and gives many students excellent actor opportunities. The one-act plays in the fall are a good way to break in new participants and also serve as a training ground for future performances. This production has 31 students on stage including: Ryan Bagnall, Grace Dunshee, Meghan Dushko, Zoe Enscoe, Maisy French, Tomas Gager, Geana Giglio, Brent Guiles, Mike Harlost, Amanda Hodge, Mick Khoury, Gizem Kocak, Erin Lawrence, Mary Longman, Haley Muth, Craig Natoli, Kayla Osterndorff, Doug Parks, Danielle Purdy, Matt Rajczi, Ed Rigano, Alex Rodriguez, Matt Smith, Shannon Staley, Stephanie Staley, Jacob Taylor, Lucy Taylor, Rachel Taylor, Vincent Taylor, Alex Tefft and Kyle Tenney.
Tickets are $5 and will be available at the door at the S-E High School auditorium. Please note the Saturday, Dec. 17 show starts at 7 p.m. and the Sunday, Dec. 18 show is a matinee at 2 p.m.
