McDONOUGH – A 4 p.m. motor vehicle accident involving an Oxford school bus resulted in three children being transported by ambulance to Wilson and Chenango Memorial hospitals for non-life threatening injuries yesterday, according to emergency officials.

The bus was carrying a total of 27 passengers, including the driver, a bus aide and 25 students. The accident – which occurred on Hammerle Road in the Town of McDonough – is still under investigation by the Oxford Central School District and the New York State Police.

Two students were taken by Oxford’s ambulance service to Chenango Memorial Hospital while a third – transported by Cooperstown Medical Transport – was taken to the Wilson Medical Center in Johnson City.
