Bernie Merritt honored for Traffic Commission service

Traffic Commission Chairman Bernard Merritt  was recognized for his years of service during the commission meeting Wednesday evening at City Hall.  Mr. Merritt was first appointed to the Traffic Commission in 1972.  In 1973 he was elected as Chairman and has served in that capacity continuously.  Mayor Joseph Maiurano presented Merritt with a stop sign shaped plaque recognizing his forty years of service to the City of Norwich.” Pictured from left: Commission members Thomas Knapp, L.
