‘Emergency meeting’ in Earlville tonight
EARLVILLE – There could be news coming out of tonight’s meeting of the Village of Earlville Board, according to Deputy Mayor and Trustee William Excell.
Village of Earlville Mayor Mark A. Doeberl asked for the 7 p.m. emergency meeting early Tuesday morning. All trustees planned to attend, Excell said yesterday.
The mayor was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol on Saturday, Dec. 24.
Excell said the charge doesn’t preclude village officials from holding office.
“Whatever decision he make, he makes,” he said.
