NORWICH – Chenango County lawmakers have appointed interim Public Works Director Shawn G. Fry to temporarily assume the duties of the department through March 31, or earlier should a permanent appointment be made before that.
Fry, previously the DPW’s chief engineer, took over from Director Randy Gibbon who retired in October.
The position’s annual salary is $69,000.
