Blog strikes up artist dialog

COLUMBUS – Golden Artist Colors has announced the launch of its new blog devoted to promoting dialog about Williamsburg Oil paints.
Golden Artist Colors purchased Williamsburg in 2010 after months of negotiations with the company. The company moved its equipment and five employees to the Golden facility where “they have fit right in with our corporate personality and business model,” said Corporate Communications Specialist Jodi O’Dell.
O’Dell explained that the creation of the blog is to further the dialog between artists and the team of paint makers at Williamsburg. She described the goal of Carl Plansky, founder of Williamsburg, as being focused on constantly improving the quality of the products being provided.
“As he grew his company, Carl promoted dialog and that dialog has expanded far beyond Carl’s own paintings and practice,” O’Dell reported. “That has grown to include the constant conversation and feedback painters provided when calling or visiting the factory and eventually, to the thousands of e-mails and other contacts with artists that Williamsburg has had over the years.”
Visitors can hear from the creators of Williamsburg on the blog as well as provide their own input on the products.
“We’ve always been passionate about urging conversation and dialogue between artists and the workforce here,” O’Dell explained. “This is a way to include Williamsburg in that same process.”
Visit WilliamsburgOil.com/blog to be sharing information with the employees of Williamsburg as well as artists from across the country.
