Boy Scouts plan Pinewood Derby

NORWICH – The Baden-Powell Boy Scout district will hold its 34th annual pinewood derby at 1 p.m. on March 11 at the VFW post in Norwich.

This will be the first time in years that the district will host the race as Pack 62 had taken over the responsibilities so the district could focus on raising money and awareness for scouting.

The district race will be the final contest following the individual pack races throughout the next two weeks.

“This will be the first year at the VFW, friends and family are welcome to attend to see the races,” said District Commissioner George Blood.
