Norwich woman struck by car

NORWICH – A woman was struck by a car at approximately 6:40 p.m. Saturday walking near the intersection of North Broad and Mechanic streets.
Tasha Morris, 27, 61 Canasawacta St., sustained unknown injuries following the accident and officials at the Wilson Medical Center, where she was taken by ambulance, declined to comment on her current condition this morning.
The driver, 23-year-old Justin Crandall, also of Norwich, has not been ticketed as of yet and the accident is still under investigation, according to police.
A second accident, which occurred approximately ten minutes later in the Town of Greene, also required its victim be transported to Wilson, in this case the driver, Robert J. Cicak, of Binghamton. According to the Chenango County Sheriff’s Office, Cicak was driving south on State Route 12 when he lost control of his vehicle and crashed into a ditch, sustaining minor injuries. The Sheriff’s Office was assisted on the scene by the Greene PD, Fire Department and EMS.
