Youth Days committee plans father/daughter dance in New Berlin
NEW BERLIN – The New Berlin Youth Days committee will hold its annual Father/Daughter Dance from 5-7 p.m. Saturday at the Unadilla Valley School cafeteria.
The dance is intended to give fathers and daughters a chance to spend quality time together while also serving as a fundraiser for next summer’s Youth Days event.
Tickets for the dance are $10 for adults and free for children. Food and refreshments will be provided by New York Pizzeria.
“New Berlin Youth Days continues to be one of the greatest traditions during the summer for New Berlin, where friends and family get together,” said village Mayor Terry Potter. “We are hoping that people will come out and support this event.”
Potter explained that the fundraiser will help the committee throughout the year as it plans the Youth Days event and will serve to off-set various expenses involved with preparation.
“We hope it will help ensure that this great tradition will continue for another 50-plus years,” said Potter.
Rockstar DJ will provide music for the dance and Jill Kraft of The Artist’s Palette will be the photographer for the evening. Potter said one free 4x6 photo will be included in the cost of the $10 ticket.
“It’s a night of fun and everyone has always had a great time in the past,” said Potter. “We’re hoping for the same kind of turnout this year, I know it’s going to be just as fun.”
Potter added that all ages from toddler on up are welcome to attend the event. To purchase tickets, visit the UVCS Elementary office, the Big M, NBT, the Village of New Berlin office or The Artist’s Palette in Norwich.
