Man accused of assaulting group home resident

SHERBURNE – On Friday, New York State Police at Norwich arrested Ramiro Detraglia, 40, of Sherburne, for endangering the welfare of an incompetent or physically disabled person and thrid degree assault, both class A misdemeanors.
The charges stem from an investigation that was conducted by members of the New York State Police in Norwich regarding allegations of abuse to a resident at the New York State Operated Individual Residential Alternative (S.O.I.R.A.) Residential Home located at 50 North Main Street in the Village of Sherburne. Detraglia, an employee of the New York State Office of People with Developmental Disabilities, is assigned to this home as a staff member.
