Bainbridge Gallery presents Student Art Showcase
BAINBRIDGE – The Jericho Arts Council in Bainbridge will present its annual Student Art Showcase in the Town Hall Gallery from March 24 through March 29. This show will feature exceptional student artwork from five area school districts.
Participating students include Kendra Newell, Jillian Young and Sarah Theobald from the Sidney Central School District; Kateryna Santa Cruz, Alex Tiley and Lillian Tomas from the Afton Central School District; Connor Fuller and Christina Bochicchio from the Bainbridge-Guilford Central School District; Elissa Galati, Maggie Avolio and Dylan Aikins from the Unadilla Valley School District, and Katrina Clark, Hailey Ahearn and Mikala Gallo from the Unatego Central School District.
Art teachers Scott Higby from Afton, Alyssa Hardy and Rebecca Jennison from Bainbridge-Guilford, Chris Lissandrello from Sidney, Noelle DaSilva Held from Unatego, and Tresta Smith from the Unadilla Valley school districts have been involved in planning the exhibition along with Lynn Thomas of the Jericho Arts Council. The show gives the students an opportunity outside of school to be part of a gallery exhibition, an experience that is beneficial as they develop artistically. It also gives the community an opportunity to enjoy the work of talented high school art students in a lovely gallery setting.
The exhibition will be open to the public from 1 to 7 p.m. daily, March 24 through March 29. There will be an opening reception at 4 p.m. on March 24. Admission is free, and all are encouraged to come and enjoy the show. The Gallery is located on the second floor of the Town Hall Building, Main Street, Bainbridge.
