Author details cross- country trek at library talk
NEW BERLIN – Michael Czarnecki will give a presentation on his two trips across the United States and what he learned during his adventures at 6:30 p.m. May 23 at the New Berlin Library.
Czarnecki also wrote a book about his travels, which will be available during the presentation.
“He went on these trips to get a better understanding of the world we live in,” said Library Director Darlene LaBrie. “We’re excited to have him here sharing his experiences.”
His book is titled “Twenty Days on Route 20” and chronicles the various people he met, places he visited and adventures across the various states.
LaBrie explained that Czarnecki came to her attention when she heard the author had decided to relive his travels 15 years after writing his novel.
“US 20 is the longest US highway ... cities, small towns, rolling hills, eastern woodlants and farms, midwestern plains, wild western lndscapes ... what more could one want in a single route, a route that today is garnering much interest in its historic significance?” wrote Czarnecki.
Czarnecki will share photos of his experiences as well as read passages from his novel and tell stories about both trips across the country.
“We look forward to hearing all about his experiences,” said LaBrie.
