Leadership Chenango class plans graduation dinner
NORWICH – The Leadership Chenango Class of 2012 is set to graduate on June 7. The graduation ceremony and dinner will be held at the Northeast Classic Car Museum in Norwich. In addition, the Dan Marshman Ag Leadership Award will be presented to Donald Franklin of Plymouth at the dinner prior to the graduation ceremony. The reception for the event begins at 5:30 p.m., and dinner will be served at 6:15 p.m.
The program will begin with presentation of the Dan Marshman Ag Leadership Award. The recipient, Donald Franklin operated a dairy farm for many years in the Town of Plymouth. He also served as Town Supervisor for seven years. More recently, Don’s leadership as Chairman of the Ag and Farmland Protection Board for the last three years has been instrumental in moving that boards’ work forward, including a new Ag & Farmland Protection Plan, the Ag Tour for Legislators of 2011 and 2012, and work to further develop Chenango County’s farmers’ markets.
Additional highlights of the evening include guest speaker Dick Snyder of Snyder Communications, and class speaker Roger Shackelton. Certificates of completion will be given to the Leadership class recipients by Class Facilitator Judie Wright, and Assemblyman Cliff Crouch.
This years’ Leadership Chenango Class of 2012 includes: Matt Asma (DCMO BOCES), Robin Beckwith (Catholic Charities), Jackie Brunschmid (NBT Bank), Marsha Cornelius (SUNY Morrisville, Norwich Campus), Courtney Crisler (The Place), Jill Eddy (Commerce Chenango), James Gager (Beyond Measure), Kassandra Golden (Canasawacta Country Club), Carol Hicks (Golden Artist Colors), Jeffrey Johnson (Preferred Mutual Insurance Co.), Diane Joos (NBT Bank), James Kerns (NBT Bank), Eddie Maslin (The Raymond Corporation), Tonya Moryl (NBT Bank), Lori Olsen (Manpower), Roger Shackelton (Frontier Communications), Kenneth Smith (Cornell Cooperative Extension), Hilary Wilcox (GHS Credit Union), Stacie Edick (Leadership Chenango).
