Saturday is Oxford Garden Club’s annual Perennial Plant Sale
OXFORD – The Oxford Garden Club (OGC) members have been very busy planting and making the Village beautiful. In addition, the club has been preparing for their great 2012 fund raiser, the “OGC Annual Plant Sale.” The Annual Plant Sale will be held Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon, on LaFayette Park.
Garden Club members have been potting up a wide assortment of beautiful, always zone hardy plants, right from their gardens and ready for yours. Always held on the second Saturday of June, this June 9 is the last day of National Garden Week and a perfect time for this fundraiser. This perennial “grab-bag” may include hostas, lilies, cranesbill geraniums, lamiums, Cotoneaster shrubs, sedums, stoke’s aster, primroses, creeping thyme, obedient plants, and much more. You never know from one year to the next what they’ll bring, but it’s always a pleasant surprise. Although the sale is called an “Annual” you’ll find mostly perennial plants there. Come to shop and support the Club’s local civic beautification projects.
While you’re at the Plant Sale, don’t forget that you can get expert gardening advice. The OGC has three master gardeners, Harriet Adamson, Rena Hall and Donna Schindler. You may also wish to find out about joining this friendly, award winning group of plant-lovers.

The OGC meets the third Tuesday of each month, at different homes on a rotating basis, at 7 p.m. For questions about the sale/club contact Jeanne at: 843-6278 or email: jlcline@frontiernet.net or Joy at: 843-9209; email: joyful@ frontiernet.net .
