Dollars for Scholars awards Norwich students

Norwich Dollars for Scholars, in conjunction with the Norwich City School District, held its 9th annual awards ceremony Tuesday night at the Chenango County Council of the Arts. Norwich Dollars for Scholars is a locally operated, not for profit scholarship foundation affiliated with the national program of Scholarship for America. The mission of Dollars for Scholars is to expand access to educational opportunities by involving and assisting the community in support of students in their pursuit of post secondary education. Approximately 60 Norwich seniors were awarded nearly $40,000 from Dollars for Scholars, as well as scholarships from various other organizations and private individuals.
