A multi-car accident earlier this afternoon sent at least one person to the hospital. Rt. 12 in the City of Norwich north of Mitchell Street was closed to traffic for two hours as emergency crews cleared the scene. Unconfirmed reports say a driver of a south-bound vehicle lost control, impacting vehicles in the north-bound lane.
