NORWICH – A month removed from the second Norwich Sports Hall of Fame induction ceremony, the Hall of Fame committee is now accepting nominations for next year’s class of inductees. Committee chairperson, Mark Abbott, recently addressed the most frequently asked questions regarding the nomination process.

“Forms are available on the Norwich City School District website under the “Athletics” link (http://norwich.37j32b1.remote.schoolcenter.com/education/components/docmgr/download.php?sectiondetailid=2209&fileitem=4351) or by contacting me,” Abbott said.

The form is self-explanatory, Abbott said, and requests the name of the nominee, contact information, year of graduation (if the person is an athlete) or the years of service at Norwich (for coaches or contributors). The form also asks for the name of the nominator and his or her contact information, and a detailed account of the nominee’s accomplishments. “We would like as much pertinent information as possible,” Abbott said, speaking on behalf of the HOF committee.
