Ford files petitions for Town of Norwich Board campaign

NORWICH – City of Norwich Fire Captain Michael Ford has filed a petition for September’s Republican Party primary as part of his campaign for a seat on the Norwich Town Board.
After gathering the required signatures, the Norwich resident said, “I had a wonderful time meeting people in the Town of Norwich. While many people expressed the need for change in the town, I expressed to them that change takes time and we can only do it together. I look forward to meeting many more residents between now and September. I would also like to thank my mother who circulated petitions on my behalf.”
Ford also said he will seek signatures for an Independent Party candidacy on the November ballot.
Ford earned a bachelor’s degree in human services from Binghamton University and is currently employed by the City of Norwich as a Career Fire Captain. “My goal is to make Norwich a place for my kids to be proud of and an area they will work and live in when they complete college,” he said.
