Larsen elected IDA Chairman
NORWICH – The County of Chenango Industrial Development Agency announced that Eric Larsen has been elected chairman of the board.
Larsen is a graduate of Hartwick College and is the president of Laral Management, a real estate management and development company located in Norwich. As chairman, he is responsible for executing all agreements, contracts, deeds, and other instruments of the agency. He will also be responsible for providing recommendations to the board regarding the business, affairs and policies of the IDA.
As an active member of the community, Larsen brings with him a wealth of experience and knowledge. His past leadership roles include serving as chairman of the North Norwich Planning Board and Chenango Memorial Hospital Foundation, as well as board president of the YMCA, Chenango County Council of the Arts, and Norwich Dollar for Scholars. Additionally, Larsen was an active participant in Leadership Chenango and served on the Chenango County 2020 Commission, the Chenango County Bicentennial Committee, and the Friends of the Park group.
Larsen currently serves as the president of the Chenango Blues Association and as vice chairman of the Chenango Memorial Hospital Board of Directors. He also serves as a member of the Chenango Tourism Advisory Board and the NBT Bank Advisory Board.
The CCIDA is a public benefit corporation of the State of New York, established to provide financial and other incentives to firms expanding or locating in Chenango County.
