Letter to the Editor: McBride the right choice for Chenango judge
Editor,
In the coming weeks the voters of Chenango County will need to make a decision who they favor to be the next Chenango County Judge. When I learned our current County Court Judge, the Hon. W.H. Sullivan, would be retiring at the end of this year, and long before there were even any candidates for the position, my opinion was the absolute best person for this important position is our current District Attorney, Joseph McBride.
I have spent many hours in court room trials with Mr. McBride and had the opportunity to observe how methodical, thorough and decisive he is with his duties representing and protecting the people of Chenango County. Mr. McBride’s knowledge of the law is extraordinary; not just the current statutes, but also the case laws when previous precedents have been set.
Mr. McBride has spent over a decade protecting the citizens of Chenango County as District Attorney in an impressive manner. I look forward to the same firm, fair decisiveness he will bring to the bench.
The voters of our county are fortunate to have a choice from a field of candidates for this Judgeship. This is why I ask you to join me in supporting and voting for Joseph McBride to be our next Chenango County Court Judge.
