Norwich Pharmaceuticals revitalizes summer youth program

NORWICH – Norwich Pharmaceuticals was happy to revitalize its summer student employment program this year, with the sponsorship of seven formal student opportunities.
The program focuses on delivering technical career experiences to community students currently studying at a post secondary institution. The work experience is aligned with the area of study. This year, the company had students studying Chemistry, Information Technology and Engineering working at its facility.
Luke Murphy, Manager of Recruitment, commented on the goals of the program: “Norwich Pharmaceuticals relies heavily on technology. It is important for us to build a strong pool of highly skilled candidates for our business, who want to live and work in Chenango County. Not only does this program give the students direct exposure to work in their chosen field of study, but it also creates a potential hiring pool for the business in the future.”
Students are studying:
• Sam Perry – Mechanical Engineering
• Stacia Mohr – Animal Science
• Megan Record – Biochemistry
• Matt Boyd – Information Technology
• Dan O’Reilly – Mechanical Engineering
• Vinny Festarini - Chemical Engineering
• Megan Matott - Biology.
